I didn't know the name of this trail until I looked it up a while back. Growing up in San Rafael I've known this Trail as "The Heart," because there used to be a giant heart spray painted(I'm not sure if someone knows please enlighten me with facts), but its no longer there I think it was because there was a big fire up there a long time ago, but once more I'm not completely sure. This trail is fairly short but as you're walking up hill you can see all of San Rafael. You can even see Gold Hill Grades' trail, specifically where the bench is at, from 2 certain point of this hike, midway and the top. I didn't really like this trail only because it was too short and because there's a lot of houses around which beats the feel that one would get if they were away from civilization. but its a great walk if someone wants to get away from people and technology for half an hour.

Gold Hill Grade, San Rafael !
So this trail is a mountain bike trail, but still a great walk. It's located in San Rafael towards Dominican. This hike is fairly easy, it's not too steep nor too long. It took me about 20mins to get more than halfway up right until the point where my dog (sisi) got tired and didn't want to keep going. Yes, I recently started to take my dog on hikes because all she does is eat, sleep and sleep some more. Anyways, there's a lot of great views to this hike. At a point, less than halfway up, there's a bench where you can sit and enjoy the whole downtown of San Rafael, but mainly the trees that cover most of that view 🌲. A little further past the bench there's a hidden trail towards the left, I didn't go down to it because of my dog nor did I take a picture because it doesn't look like a trail at all so most of you will be confused when you head to it, there's a very old car which supposedly crashed and was never moved. It's not a bad sight but it's not the best. Surely it brings up questions of "why is it still here" or "did the people survive" but that's up to you guys to wonder about. So when you reach the top of this hike there will be two separated trails where one will lead towards China Camp and if you keep going passed the signs of China Camp you'll end up in Santa Vanetia. But if you take the other trail you'll end up at the satellite. Which you can climb on if it is open but make sure not to get in trouble (Do it). Just kidding don't do it 😉. I don't have pictures of that but if you head up there be sure to take pictures. So now go on and have a great hike!!
This is my dog, as you can see she was pretty tired. Or maybe it was me?? jk it was her.
So right down here is the trail I went on. I wanted to give you guys a map view of this trail so you guys know where exactly it is if you want to hike on this trail.

Indian Valley Trails, Novato!
There's a lot of trails in this area. There were too many for me to hike
in one day because I also have other things to do. But the trails that I
did choose to walk on were so tiring, because its mainly uphill walking, but the result view was
astonishing! Even though it is close to a school the trails and trees
make it seem like you are a long way from humanity. I recommend this
spot because its awesome, and because I like it, it's one of my
favorites.
